My name is Oskars. My journey didn’t start in the world of gaming it started in a woodshop. I’ve always been passionate about the natural beauty of wood and the way a well-crafted object can change a room. In the beginning, The Cupola was dedicated to small interior pieces—handcrafted coat racks, towel holders, and minimalist home decor.

You can still explore these original handcrafted designs and see where it all began by visiting my Etsy shop here:

But everything changed with a single message from a customer named Curren.

I had been working on a monitor stand designed in a traditional Japanese style, inspired by kumimono (bracket complexes). It featured the rhythmic slats and openings characteristic of ancient timber architecture, focusing on the beauty of interlocking wood.
"Can you make a version of this to lift my Gaming PC off the ground?"

Curren realized that the ventilation I designed for aesthetics was actually the perfect solution for a PC’s biggest enemy: Heat. By lifting the PC off the floor and providing massive airflow through the slats.

That conversation sparked a realization. Gamers spend thousands of dollars on their hardware, but most PC stands are made of cheap plastic. I decided to combine the organic warmth of premium wood with high-performance airflow design.

Today, Cupola Gaming is a collection of products designed specifically for people who want a setup that looks as good as it performs. Every stand is still handmade with the same attention to detail as those first interior pieces.

I don't compromise on materials. I use Solid Oak and Ash for their timeless beauty, Thermo Pine for its unique character, and Baltic Birch Plywood for its incredible structural strength. Every piece is handmade here in Latvia.

What started as a solo passion project has grown into something much bigger. I’m proud to say we’ve reached the point where both I and my wife, Diana, are now working on this full-time together.

I chose the name The Cupola because of a long-held dream: one day, I will build my own workshop in the shape of a cupola. To me, that dome shape represents the perfect balance of strength, structure, and beauty—the same principles I build into every product. When you choose to support my craft, you aren’t just buying a product; you’re helping me lay the bricks for that dream workshop.
